The coalition has developed EPIC (Explore, Play, Inspire, Connect) to promote the development of all 5 domains in a fun and interactive way. EPIC shows parents how to create simple, fun, and easily replicated activities which will enhance all areas of their child’s development. This is a highly attended workshop and allows parents to make connections with others in the community, thereby strengthening their social network.

The Smoky Lake & Area Coalition shared their local EDI Community Reports data with various community stakeholders, agencies and partners at a biannual Spring Interagency Meeting, FCSS Board monthly and numerous Town of Smoky Lake Council Meetings for all newly elected officials following the municipal election. Smoky Lake presented the “I am Growing Up” video developed by Beaumont and Leduc Regional Early Childhood Coalitions at these meetings.
